In the video below we use our Eligo SDK to explore the interior of the car. Realtime object tracking is made using a Dualcore notebook with a standard webcam.
We can use any 3D obect as tracking target, the sdk supports windows platform, and any web browser.

LinceoVR 3.3 Rovio sdk for AR based experience: create your own videogames!
Create new interactive Wowwee Rovio based augmented reality games using LinceoVR 3.3. LinceoVR 3.3 gets the control of WowWee Drone, and allows to any user to create his own augmented reality experience, offline and online.
Any user will be able to virtually add in the real environment where Rovio moves, 3D objetcs and animations which will appear in the live video images captured through its integrated WiFI camera. Below presentation video and some images with texture tracking:

I am very happy to see that everyday the LinceoVR users community grows. LinceoVR is the first tool in the market for realtime design review that embeds Augmented Reality features (ie. instant camera matching), helping any user to visualize virtual product faster and cheaper then ever.
30 minutes to create your own AR application. From scratch.
You start with 3D-modelling with 3Ds Max, then create the model textures with Photoshop. Inside LinceoVR you can then apply bump-mapped custom materials to the model and render it in realtime or export is as a high-resolution movie or image.
The cool thing is that you can also create geometry and material variants for fast product prototyping, and compare the different created layouts in your surrounding real-world environment using Augmented Reality.
But the best thing has yet to come. You can continue the process creating a custom HTML+CSS+JS application with our Eligo SDK to create your very own augmented reality application.

2 weeks ago we received a sample product from Vuzix, an iWear920 googles and CamAR module, we begun the integration in LinceoVR and in Eligo sdk.
LinceoVR and Eligo now support iWear in mono and in stereoscopy, we are working on the tracking capabilities for new excinting user experience.
Augmented reality is ready yet, Vuzix product opens new frontier in AR market, stay tuned for more news.
First live test for real immersive AR
Below a video made using Vizux product, the screen resolution was 1024×768, the CamAR video resolution was 800×600. The 3D model comes from Autodesk Alias Studiotool, all is in 3D, exterior and interior. Low frame rate is due to the notebook we used, but anything is in realtime, HDRI rendering, ambient occlusion shadows, geometry and material variants available with one click.

HairArt is 3D Hairstyle Simulation System using seac02 Eligo AR tech. User can experience cyber wigs and choice a preferring hair style. User can move his head freely with cyber wigs.
Over 300 different hair stile have been defined, the application will be installed in common point of sales, and can run on standard PC, it uses a common webcam to perform realtime tracking. See below the interface and a runtime video.
Some days ago I was reading a post on Games Alfresco — a blog that i personally recommend to you — talking about the use of augmented reality to show furniture at home for IKEA (just a proof of concept).
This is not a new market for Seac02, at all. Two years ago, we started to call this kind of applications e²-commerce.
What makes an AR solution successful?
From my personal experience, a business-to-business customer — just like IKEA — is willing to accept innovations in their selling process if all of these 3 important conditions are respected:
The solution has to be easy to use, no setup, and available with any kind of hardware;
The tracking has to be robust with any lighting condition and with any video input device;
Last but not least: the visual appereance of the virtual product has to match perfectly the real object.
If any of this conditions is not respected, than the solution cannot be used to sell, but just to market the brand (which is, by the way, the most common usage of AR lately).
I have seen few AR based solution in the market with a misurable value proposition and a tangible ROI for the customer.

Starting from today, me and my colleagues will try to cover in this blog topics like Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, but also share thoughts about market trends, marketing, new thechnologies and technology applied to the visual arts.
Today I’d like to introduce you Eligo, our latest product. Eligo is an authoring tool to create vertical applications based on Augmented Reality and/or Virtual reality technologies. Eligo has been thought and developed from the scratch to be easily used by media creators and media agencies, even with very limited VR and AR skills.
What is Eligo?
Eligo is the first solution on the market mixing the best in class realtime rendering engine for hyper-realistic visualization and the best in class tracking technologies: tag tracking, object tracking, texture tracking (more to come), and a complete support to interaction devices: touch screens, multitouch screens, 3D mices, joysticks stereo and auto stereo devices, VR googles, inertial tracking devices and many others.
The user interface of the application can be made using any of the most popular web developing technologies, including Flash, HTML/JS, AJAX, Silverlight and C#.
What can you do with Eligo?
To make thing more clear, let me show you an Eligo application we built and delivered last month to Rivolta, an italian company. Rivolta produces and sells “taylor made shoes”: when a customer enters the shop, the store clerk performs a 3D scanning of the buyer’s feet to get the perfect shape of the feet for the production of the shoes. Then, using the Eligo-powered front-end, the buyer itself is able to costumize all of the shoes parameters from a virtual configurator, and when the process is completed, he can try-on its costumized pair of shoes in realtime, in a mirror-like experience.
